Snowflakes and stars sparkle across a winter night sky. The juggler bounces light between the moon and the stars, tossing stars from hand to hand across the snowy night sky in my painting titled,"Star Juggler." I created this image to describe how I felt about the cold, crisp winter nights of deep winter. I lived in Bend, Oregon, for 30 years and painted this inspired by night walks on squeaky-fresh snow and late evening Nordic ski sessions on Mt. Bachelor.

I developed this style in the mid 1990's and popularized it in the home design world with my "Cristina Acosta" signature line of ceramic tile and licensed products. I wrote and illustrated, Paint Happy!, ©2002, 2004 published by North Light Books. Paint Happy, by Cristina Acosta (me) demonstrates a variety of art instructions and concepts with this series of images. This style was my dominant art style from 1994-2006.
