Inspiration:
Inspired by my beautiful friend, Jen McCrystal, this pastry
chef dances joyfully, her creations sing from her pan, inviting
us to enjoy the abundance of her creation. Jen has inspired 3
paintings so far, this one, Celebration Chef, and Jen's Garden. This painting series
was inspired by the first time I ever saw Jen. I was at a
friend's birthday party and I saw this very slim, lovely woman
walking barefoot across a polo field carrying a giant
wedding-like cake, that was iced with white buttercream
and had 4th of July sparklers coming out of the top! It
was her gift to the birthday girl!
Jen and her husband, TR McCrystal own the inspirational restaurant, Jen's Garden, in Sisters, Oregon. Their artistry and warm hearts celebrate a beautiful meal. I highly recommend you stop by for dinner if you are within a hundred miles of their place. Call first.
